FAQs

Who do you work with?

I work with individuals, 18 years and older.

What are your fees for service?

Sessions are 50 minutes for $150.

Do you have a sliding fee?

I do not have any open sliding fee spots at this time.

What does a somatic psychotherapy session look like?

Sessions include a combination of talking and body-oriented work and typically are less focused on narrative or story. Sessions are individualized according to your specific needs, focus and concerns. You will be invited to engage in experiential exercises and practices that may include observation skills, sensory awareness or felt sense awareness, visual imagery, vocalization, movement, attending to breath and guidance for emotional, physical or verbal expression.

Do you offer in person sessions?

Yes, I do have in-person options. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both Washington and Florida, I do provide virtual sessions to individuals in both states. However, I do offer in-person sessions for those seeking services in the local St. Pete area.

How do virtual sessions work?

I have been providing online sessions since 2018 in addition to in person care. For a virtual session, you will receive a link via email which you may open at our scheduled time to access our virtual session page. For our meetings, you will be responsible for finding a private location to do a video session. You may need some extra space for moving around during our session. I have found somatic exercises to be very effective online and many clients report similar results.

For how long does someone need therapy?

That can be difficult to answer since each person’s progress is different and based on your unique needs. You may feel better after starting therapy. However, the process can take time depending on the concerns that brought you in. I recommend starting with weekly sessions. We will continue to assess progress and need. Average amount of time in therapy can be anywhere from a few sessions or continue over a period of time. Usually individuals choose to stay as they are continuing to see progress and finding sessions helpful over time.
