Somatic Psychotherapy in St. Petersburg, FL

Erin Foley, LMHC, SEP

I provide somatic and mindfulness based psychotherapy for adults. My approach focuses on understanding and attuning to your nervous systems response to help find flexibility, relief and connection.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in both Florida and Washington state and provide virtual sessions. I have over 12 years of experience practicing psychotherapy with adults, couples, families and children. I am an Aikido practitioner since 2002, which is a martial arts focused on peaceful conflict resolution, connection and self development. I am trained as a Somatic Experiencing® Practioner (SEP) and integrate SE™ in all my sessions for the treatment of trauma. I treat developmental or childhood trauma from a somatic attachment approach. I blend psychodynamic, relational psychotherapy with somatic, movement and mindfulness based modalities.

Here you will find somatic psychotherapy as a blended practice to further self development. Moving through the body experience we are listening on a deep level and slowing down to be with what is here now. In this way, being with our experience, we are building internal capacity to move between states of distress or discomfort towards safety and ease. You will build a closer relationship with self and learn to engage more authentically with others.
